So today I needed fresh air and on the menu was a trip to Rickmansworth Aquadrome, a park I had never been to before but suggested by a mummy friend meeting me there.

I can’t believe that I had driven past this place so many times but never noticed it was there, what a pleasant surprise.

Parking was FREE which was a big thumbs up and I met Malvina and her gorgeous baby Teddy near the car park.  We headed straight for the cafe (sleep deprived much?), ordered our lattes and yummy cakes and headed straight to the playground.

And what a playground it was…large and with many obstacles for different ages, a sand pit and generally clean and neat. Yara had a blast attempting some of the bigger play houses (and came back down crying with fear!) and our lovely Teddy was enjoying the world go by on the baby swing.

We then went for a big walk around one of the lakes, discussing the pros and cons of Brexit (the kids were listening intently of course!) and eventually our play date came to an end.

It’s always nice meeting up with a new mum at a new location, especially as I’d been having a tough day being further rejected by employers (who still think my writing ain’t that good).

Let’s see what tomorrow’s adventure brings…
